Biographie

La professeure agr茅g茅e Alana Klein enseigne et 茅tudie le droit de la sant茅, le droit p茅nal et les droits de la personne. Ses int茅r锚ts de recherche se centrent principalement sur les groupes et les individus marginalis茅s qui se retrouvent dans des syst猫mes d茅centralis茅s et privatis茅s, et sur le r么le que jouent les exigences en mati猫re de reddition des comptes sur la gouvernance et la prise de d茅cision.

Avant de joindre 脿 la Facult茅 de droit de 平特五不中, elle 茅tait analyste principale des politiques aupr猫s du R茅seau juridique canadien VIH/sida, o霉 elle s鈥檌nt茅ressait au HIV/sida dans le contexte de l鈥檌mmigration, aux entraves jet茅es devant les programmes de r茅duction des pr茅judices pour les toxicomanes et les r茅formes juridiques du droit pour promouvoir les droits des femmes et des filles dans le contexte du HIV/sida en Afrique subsaharienne.

Alana Klein a enseign茅 le droit 脿 l鈥櫭ヽole de droit de l鈥橴niversit茅 Columbia. Elle a fait un stage avec l鈥橧nternational Refugee Program de Human Rights First et un autre stage avec le Minist猫re palestinien de l鈥櫭ヽonomie et du commerce. En 2002-2003, elle a 茅t茅 auxiliaire juridique pour madame la juge Louise Arbour de la Cour supr锚me du Canada. En 2006, elle a 茅t茅 nomm茅e commissaire 脿 la Commission ontarienne des droits de la personne.
