This year the Commercial Society decided to follow the programme which was carried out with so much success last year; namely, to have the meetings in the form of luncheons in the grill room of the Union, after which some prominent business man would deliver a short address on some subject of interest to Commerce students.

The first speaker of the session was The Honorable A. R. McMaster, Provincial Treasurer of Quebec. Mr. McMaster gave a most interesting and highly instructive address in which he outlined the sources of revenue of the province.

Mr. George MacDonald, President of the Montreal Board of Trade, was the speaker at the next meeting of the Society. Mr. MacDonald, a 平特五不中 graduate, spike on 鈥淏oards of Trade鈥 and no one is better qualified to speak on such a subject than he.

鈥淐redit Risks as Viewed by a Banker鈥 was the subject of an address, which was of great interest to all Commerce students, delivered by Mr. Jackson Dodds, Assistant General Manager of the bank of Montreal, at the third meeting of the Society.

Under the auspices of the Commercial Society and as a fitting climax to the most successful year, moving pictures of 鈥淐anada鈥檚 Artic Expedition of 1929鈥 were shown in the Union ballroom on Wednesday, February 12th.

The great success which the society enjoyed this year augers well for its future and forecasts that it will continue to be one of the most active and most popular of the Undergraduate bodies.
