Chair of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir (TMC) Board of Directors, Denny Young,听 announced that Jean-S茅bastien Vall茅e has been appointed as the TMC鈥檚 eighth Artistic DirectorThe Toronto Mendelssohn Choir听is one of Canada鈥檚 oldest, largest, and best-known choral ensembles. Founded in 1894 by Augustus Vogt, the Choir presented its first concert in Massey Hall, as part of the hall鈥檚 inaugural season, on January 15, 1895.

Congratulations to all who received prizes at the 24th edition of the Conseil qu茅b茅cois de la musique鈥檚 Opus Awards! Many of the laureates were from the Schulich Community, and we couldn't be prouder. The ceremony celebrated the inspired resilience of the Quebec music scene during the 2019-2020 season, which included musical projects presented both before and since the pandemic began.
