Increased scholarships for Canadian applicants beginning in 2025

In continuing our commitment to providing a high-quality and intensive Master of Public Policy program and in recognition of an ever-increasing cost of living, the Max Bell School will be increasing our entrance scholarships to $15,000 each for eligible Canadian applicants (citizens and permanent residents) beginning in fall 2025. These scholarships are based on merit, and all applicants will be considered automatically unless otherwise specified.

On Monday, April 15, Heather DeSantis, Director General of International Affairs at Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada spoke to the students at the Max Bell School of Public Policy. The students appreciated her career advice on getting into the public service, especially her journey from studying Canadian studies to a career in security and foreign policy.

Youth Assembly Report on Digital Rights and Safety

In June 2023, the Centre for Media, Technology, and Democracy brought together 35 young people from all across Canada to discuss how to improve online safety for themselves and future generations. This Youth Assembly on Digital Rights allowed them to connect with each other as well as academic experts and policymakers on how to promote the safety, well-being, and flourishing of Canadian youth online.

Pearl Eliadis appointed to the Official Language Rights Expert Panel

Max Bell School Associate Professor Pearl Eliadis, has been selected to the Official Language Rights Expert Panel of the federal Government鈥檚 Court Challenges Program (CCP).

The objective of the CCP is to provide financial support to Canadians to bring before the courts test cases of national significance that aim to clarify and assert certain constitutional and quasi-constitutional official language rights and human rights.
