The Max Bell School of Public Policy and ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ are situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà :ka (Ga-niyen-ge-HAA-ga), which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee (Hoh-DEE-noh-SHoh-nee) and Anishinabeg (´¡³ó-²Ô¾±²õ³ó-¾±³ó-²Ô²¹³ó’-²ú±ð²â) nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
The Max Bell School acknowledges the ways in which public policy has contributed to or failed to address systemic oppression. We aim to develop, in solidarity with Indigenous peoples, research and a curriculum that emphasizes the importance of representation and equitable public policy.
