New online exhibition explores women, work and song in 19th century France
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new online exhibition:
It聽features full-text versions of 108 pieces from the聽Marvin Duchow Music Library 19th-Century French Sheet Music Collection. The website also includes聽articles, essays, and an extensive bibliography that聽explores both women鈥檚 work and cultural work about women in the popular song industry. The broad reach of the project makes it of interest to a wide cross-section of the community, including musicians, music lovers, history aficionados, anthropology majors and many others.
