"The Power of Silly": Puppetry as a Tool for Transformation

Puppeteer and Educator Jesse Stong offers a participatory workshop on the physical and psychological fundamentals of puppetry performance. Sharing reflections from his thesis experiment- the 200-hour non-stop puppet show - Jesse facilitates an opportunity for participants to bring a puppet to life while also learning interesting findings from practices of object performance. Through simple hands-on activities, participants will begin to explore the uncanny art of breathing life into the inanimate world.

An award-winning educator, specializing in teaching performance, writing, and puppetry,Ìýhe was recently Lead Puppeteer/Manager of Children’s Programming for media-giant .
