The 平特五不中 Alumni Public Policy Society (MAPPS) cordially invites you to attend their first public panel and private networking event,International Women鈥檚 Day Panel - Women in Consulting (from a Policy Perspective).

Policy decisions affect every aspect of our lives and as a result a background in policy can lead to a multitude of careers. In honour of international women鈥檚 day, join MAPPS as they highlight the careers of women in consulting from a policy perspective.

Stepping away from a typical MBA profile and armed with a mastery of policy,听Joanna听Klimczak听(Senior Consultant, BCG),听Kathy Liu听(Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, EY), and听Charlotte Reboul听(Consultant, KPMG), stepped into the world of consulting, where they are now focused on issues of management, sustainability, cybersecurity, and economics. Listen as moderator听Nirushaa Senthilnathan听(President, MAPPS & Senior Policy Analyst, CMHC), explores with the panelists what policy graduates have to offer the world of business, rooted in their learnings from their Master of Public Policy or Administration from the听University of Oxford听Blavatnik School of Government,听Columbia University听School of International and Public Affairs, and听平特五不中's Max Bell School of Public Policy.

About the Speakers

Joanna Klimczak, BCom'14 (MPP'17, Oxford & Rhodes Scholar)听is a Senior Consultant at BCG on corporate strategy within many of Canada's largest industries. Prior to BCG, Joanna was on professional retreat exploring questions at the crossroads of sustainability, progress and the complexity of the human spirit and systems. She is the Co-Founder of MyVision, an international accelerator for social entrepreneurs. She also worked in the private sector development in emerging markets.听Joanna holds a Bachelor's in Commerce from 平特五不中, where she co-developed the Minor Concentration Programme in Social Entrepreneurship.听

Kathy Liu, BA'15 (MPA'18, Columbia)听is a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant at Ernst & Young. With an atypical background for cyber and consulting, she champions fellow Policy graduates and their untapped potential in these fields. As a Global Shaper, she leads their award-winning Inclusive Cyber project, empowering non-IT talent in the Future of Work. Prior to consulting, she worked in economic risk management globally. Kathy is a published author and speaker, and has been featured on platforms convened by the World Economic Forum and Open Government Partnership.听

Charlotte Reboul, BA'17, MPP'20听began her career as an analyst, in fields of public health, environmental policy and international development. From there, she became interested in increasing the collaboration of private, public, and non-profit sectors. She was a student consultant for the World Bank and was recently consulting for the Qu茅bec Minister of Finance, assessing the role of Ecofiscal policies in the post COVID-19 economic recovery context.听 She is now a Consultant in the Economics and Strategy Practice at KPMG.

Nirushaa Senthilnathan, BA'15, MPP'20听is the President of MAPPS and a Senior Policy Analyst at CMHC, working at the intersection of human rights and housing policy. From 2017 to 2020, she was a Project Coordinator in support of human rights and advocacy campaigns worldwide, under the Hon. Irwin Cotler, former Canadian Minister of Justice and Attorney General. In 2016, Nirushaa was named a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. She ran the GS Montreal Hub from 2017 to 2019, mobilizing thirty young leaders to work on impact driven community projects.
