Title: Hyperbolic groups and geometric group theory

Abstract: We will give definitions and results in the theory of hyperbolic groups with the purpose of highlighting some central themes of geometric group theory. Topics will certainly include: the definition of a hyperbolic group, geometric action, quasi-isometry, geodesic stability, boundary, etc.
