Generating functions for the Bannai-Ito polynomials
The Bannai-Ito orthogonal polynomials are known to be essentially the Racah or 6j coefficients of the osp(1|2) Lie superalgebra. A generating function for these polynomials is obtained using an asymptotic expansion of a realization of this recoupling problem using three Dunkl oscillators. The connection between this result and a limit of the Askey-Wilson polynomials generating functions will be discussed.
