Delbar Khakzad is a historian with a background in Middle Eastern and Religious Studies. She is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Islamic Studies at 平特五不中. She completed her MA and PhD at the University of Toronto. Delbar鈥檚 PhD thesis explores how a progressive notion of time reconfigured calendric time and formed a solar Islam in modern Iran. Her current research explores the politics of time in the modem Shi鈥檌 eschatology. Her main interests are modernity, nationalism, the perception of time, science, anthropology of Islam, and the socio-political interactions of religious and secular trends in the modern Middle East.聽
