The spinning disc confocal microscope is versatile tool. It is ideal for highly dynamic live cell imaging because of its two cameras allowing to do ultra-fast simultaneous two colour听live microscopy. There is also a custom based Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP) system for FRAP experiments. 听
It is even听possible to do super-resolution TIRF (Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence) microscope and dSTORM (direct STochastic Optical Reconstruction Microscopy) experiments with this microscope.
