Eleanor Elstein, MD, is an associate professor of medicine and a cardiologist at the 平特五不中 Health Center (MUHC). She is director of the Cardiovascular Genetics and Cardiomyopathy Clinic at the MUHC and director of the cardiology consultation service at the Glen Site. In addition to consultative cardiology and teaching, her primary focus is cardiovascular genetics and hereditary cardiomyopathies.

Dr. Elstein holds several positions at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is Chair of the Regional Advisory Committee for Quebec and is also a member of both Council and the Fellowship Affairs Committee.

Dr. Elstein strongly believes that interprofessionalism is important for the practitioner and helps improve health outcomes for patients. She is actively involved in teaching interprofessionalism at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Dr. Elstein has been a member of the Executive of the Office of Interprofessional Education (OIPE) since 2018. She is the medical education physician lead in the OIPE. She has participated in the design and implementation of the Interprofessional Education curriculum for students in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and has recently been named as co-director of the curriculum committee of the OIPE. Dr. Elstein is also a member of the Interprofessional Education Working Group of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC).
