Gabriel Venne

Gabriel Venne, DO, MSc, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Anatomical Sciences within the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine and an Associate Member of the Institute of Health Sciences Education. He is involved in the teaching of human anatomy for undergraduate students in the Anatomy and Cell Biology program and for first and second year medicine and dentistry programs. He completed his graduate degrees at Queen鈥檚 University with a background in anatomy teaching and basic science research: mechanical strain influence on osteophyte development, role of the rectus capitis posterior minor on the dura mater in cervicogenic headaches, computer-guided arthroplasty, and embalming technique in surgical training. He does clinical practice has an osteopath.

Current Research Interests: Exploring different embalming techniques to offer high-fidelity models to in vivo medical training and developing 3D scanning and printing methods for the production of anatomical models for teaching Anatomy.
