How to reserve, pick up, and return your regalia:

Pick up your regalia and line-up card
- Check the schedule听(below these steps) to find out when you can pick up your cap, gown, and hood (regalia), line-up card, and guest tickets. At the pick up location, you must go to the line-up card table before you proceed to the regalia pick up station
听 - You must bring:
- Your 平特五不中 ID card (or any other government-issued photo ID)
- A bag or garment bag and hanger to carry your regalia
听
- If someone else is picking up your regalia, line-up card, and guest tickets, you must complete this 3rd Party Authorization form. They must provide government-issued photo ID at pick up
听 - Review On Convocation Day to prepare for the event! IMPORTANT: You must arrive an hour BEFORE the start of your ceremony, with your regalia and line-up card,听to line up
STEP 3
Return your regalia
听
- Your cap*, gown, and hood must be returned at Le James bookstore听after the ceremony has concluded
听 - You will be charged $210 for bachelors, $202 for masters, and $724 for doctoral regalia, plus taxes, if you do not return them
听 - Transcripts will not be issued until your regalia is returned or the fees are paid
听 - *Note: PhD recipients must return their doctoral beefeaters (cap). Undergraduate and masters recipients may keep their mortarboard hats

Pickup Schedule
- Pick up will only be available for you on the dates specified on this schedule. Please do not go to the pick up venue on any day that is not listed for your ceremony, as your regalia will not be available.
- If you have an issue with your line-up card or regalia pick-up, contact convocation [at] mcgill.ca - please do not contact Le James Bookstore for questions about academic regalia.

Return Schedule
Your regalia must be returned after your ceremony at the same place it was picked up (see schedule above).
Line-up Card
The line-up card lists your听preferred name,听degree, and any honours you have been awarded. The information on the card will be read by the convocation orator as you cross the stage at the ceremony. Line-up cards are automatically generated for graduating students. They must be picked up prior to your convocation ceremony, according to the schedule.
Convocation awards and prizes will display in the Convocation program but听not听on the line-up card. Convocation awards and prizes that have been approved by Senate also display on your transcript.
Convocation honours (e.g. Dean's Honour List, Distinction) will听be read at the ceremony, will display on your line-up card but do not appear in the Convocation program. Honours also display on your transcript.听
Guests
Each graduate will receive 4 guest听tickets to their ceremony. There is no cost for these tickets. Further details will be published to our website and provided to graduates soon. The ceremonies are live-streamed so additional family and guests can watch from venues off campus.听On May 22, graduates will receive an email message with important details on how to reserve their tickets at their 平特五不中 email address.
