It is well known that Wikipedia is one of the most important sources of information in the world. Nevertheless, its content creation and management听remains more or less unknown. This presentation aims to demystify听Wikipedia so that its readers are听able to better evaluate, criticize and navigate its content.听

Creative Writing Workshop

For this year's installment of Francof锚te, the French Language Centre invites you to meet the author of Royaume scotch tape, Chlo茅 Savoie-Bernard. The talk will be followed by a creative writing workshop in French.

Chlo茅 Savoie-Bernard is also the author of short stories gathered in Des femmes savantes (Triptyque, 2016) and directed Corps (Triptyque, 2018).

This unique evening is an opportunity to question alumni about their responsibilities, their challenges and/or the work culture within their companies.

The DLTC Ph.D. student's will welcome their old friend, poetry, in their workspace. The entire 平特五不中 community is invited to this event marking the 50th anniversary of the Nuit de la po茅sie 1970. On this special occasion, join students, professors and alumni to read, sing and shout for your greatest delight.

Movie Night with the MSM

The 平特五不中 Society of Montreal (MSM) is pleased to invite all alumni to a special French movie night! Join us for a screening of the movie L'Auberge espagnole (The Spanish Apartment), a dramatic comedy directed by C茅dric Klapisch. While having roommates at 平特五不中 is quite common, this movie introduced Europeans to a new student living arrangement.

What is a story, what do magic and wonder bring us? We propose a quick overview of the "storytelling" effect. The discussion and presentation will be followed by a reading of African and Berber stories.

Are you up to the challenge? Come tackle the circuit we鈥檝e prepared for you across the city! Seize this opportunity to rediscover downtown Montreal before the finals! You will get to see buildings, monuments and works of art in a whole new light.

You will be paired with other 平特五不中 students who have different levels of proficiency in French (beginner to advanced).

The event will be followed by the French Language Center鈥檚 prize ceremony at 5 p.m.

Portrait Exposition: Je me souviens

Francophone artist Karine Martineau offers larger-than-life portraits that pierce, through the gaze, into the viewers' souls.听The artist will be present on Tuesday, March 24 from 3 to 5 pm to discuss her work and answer questions.

Dialogues on Translation

Join Qu茅bec noted authors Nicolas Dickner and Eric Dupont along with their respective translators听Mar铆a Sierra C贸rdoba Serrano (Spanish) et Peter McCambridge (English) for a round-table discussion on translation.
