The EDI Advocacy Program comprises one of the six EDI Strategic Priorities of the Faculty of Engineering. This Program is a Community of Practice for academic and non-academic staff who are committed to creating a more inclusive working and learning environment in the Faculty of Engineering.

Program Structure
The EDI Advocacy Program is organized into three layers of activities:
E-IDEA Core Team
The E-IDEA Core Team is dedicated to advancing EDI in all areas of the Faculty of Engineering. Within the EDI Advocacy Program, E-IDEA staff act as advisors, coaches, and facilitators to support ongoing EDI education and inclusive practices among Program participants. E-IDEA staff also liaise with EDI units across and outside of 平特五不中 to exchange information, tools, and recommended practices.
EDI Advocates
EDI Advocates are Faculty of Engineering academic and non-academic staff who participate in a Community of Practice to engage in collaborative learning and problem solving, resource awareness, active listening, and advocacy related to EDI issues within the Faculty of Engineering. They also act as local resources for staff and students seeking information and support related to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
EDI Learning Circle
EDI Learning Circles are flexible spaces organized by the EDI Advocates with the goal of exploring specific EDI topics and co-developing practical strategies. Depending on the topic, Learning Circles may be open to different groups outside of the EDI Advocacy Program (administrative teams, research groups, student groups, etc.). Learning Circle topics may also be requested by the general Faculty of Engineering community鈥攑lease reach out to an EDI Advocate!听
