Faculty of Education Helps Ukranians
On May 5th members of the Faculty of Education launched a four-part series of live, interactive seminars to assist Ukrainian teachers, psychologists and support staff in helping people, particularly children, deal with the horrific consequences of the on-going war. The Department of Integrated Studies in Education is proud to share that Dr. Philip Howard is the recipient of the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools Graduate Faculty Teaching Award, 2021-2022 Doctoral Level.
This award recognizes excellence and creativity in teaching of graduate students at the doctoral program level and innovation in graduate curriculum development and implementation.

In Memoriam: Dr. Jacques Rebuffot (1936-2022)
Dr. Jacques Rebuffot, Emeritus Professor of Second Language Education at 平特五不中鈥檚 Faculty of Education, passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Denise, and their three children (Genevi猫ve, Anne, and Philip) and seven grandchildren.

Matthew Slopecki, KPE, Receives Mitacs Accelerate Doctoral Fellowship for Collaborative Project with Swimming Canada
Congratulations to Matthew Slopecki Ph.D. (c) (Biomechanics of Occupation and Sport Lab) who has been awarded a 3-year Mitacs Accelerate Doctoral Fellowship. He will be working with Swimming Canada to develop a fatigue/performance monitoring tool with the elite para-swimming team.
Through this collaboration greater knowledge will be gained for an under-researched population while developing a tool that will help to improve athletic performance.
