OFNIE LogoWhen we talk about Indigenous education at 平特五不中 it is important to also highlight the Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE). OFNIE delivers community-based teacher education and professional development programs to Indigenous students across Quebec. Founded in 1975 and grown through partnerships with Indigenous education authorities, OFNIE鈥檚 proven model is leading the way for in-community First Nations and Inuit educators and is becoming a national leader in land-based learning as well as helping to address teacher shortages by increasing the number of Indigenous educators certified to teach across Quebec. OFNIE students and hundreds of alumni are shaping the future of Quebec society and are helping to preserve rich cultural traditions for new generations!
