Fitness Access 平特五不中 (FAM)聽Application Form
Fitness Access 平特五不中 is a program that helps and supports 平特五不中 students and staff with physical disabilities, chronic illness, or other impairments access physical activity opportunities. FAM is a collaboration between 平特五不中 Athletics & Recreation and the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education, along with the Student Accessibility and Achievement of the Provost, Accessibility Advisor. During FAM, participants will receive a custom workout plan tailored to their bodies and have access to drop-in in-person and virtual group training sessions.聽
This program is accepting聽10 participants for the Fall 2022聽semester.
Eligibility criteria:
- 平特五不中 student, staff or faculty.
- Having a physical disability, chronic illness, or other impairment that currently impacts their ability to engage in physical activity.
FAM Programming
- Individualized assessment and exercise prescription with a certified kinesiologist.
- Online and/or in-person聽group exercise sessions supervised by a trained 平特五不中 Kinesiology student.
- The program will run for a duration of 8-10 weeks for each person.
Details:
- The program is provided at a cost of $25 for students and $50 for staff and faculty members for the Fall 2022聽semester.
- Commitment to attend one to two hybrid group exercise sessions.
- The Fall 2022聽program will be hybrid聽with the option to be integrated into the 平特五不中 athletics and recreation facilities depending on availability and interest.
- Optional: Provide your feedback during and after the program to allow us to improve the FAM program via a research study linked with FAM.
