Making changes or cancelling your application
Any change or update to your application information must be submitted in writing to the Admissions Office. Changes in personal information such as addresses or phone numbers can only be done via your Slate account.听
An application can be cancelled via your Slate account.
To expedite the admission process, the Admissions Office required the 平特五不中 ID number and the name in all communications pertaining to application files.听
Tracking the status of your application
The status of your application can be tracked via your applicant portal.
It is strongly recommended that applicants check their application status on a regular basis, e.g. once a week, as there may be updates or additional requests required as part of the dossier review.
Interview Information -听Asynchronous Multiple Mini Interviews
Applicants invited for an interview will be interviewed using the multiple mini-interview (MMI) format. This year, they will be asynchronous. This means that applicants will be able to start and complete the interview on their own time anytime between 9am and 5pm on the day of their interview (Tuesday,听October 15th 2024) by recording their answers. The interview will last less than an hour and must be completed in one go.听Interviews must be completed before 5pm.
The interviews will be held virtually. It is your responsibility to be available for interview timeframe given. No repeat interview sessions or special accommodations will be arranged. A candidate who does not attend may have his or her application cancelled.
If you have been invited to an interview, please check your email inbox. (Please check your junk and spam folders in case they were placed there). You should receive a registration link for the interview on October 10th or 11th. After you register, you will be able to take the asynchronous online MMI on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 anytime between 9AM and 5PM.

To CONFIRM your attendance,听you must complete the following two steps on Slate:

NON-DISCLOSURE FORM:听Print and read carefully the Dentistry Non-disclosure Agreement Form (below) which sets out your obligation to maintain the confidentiality of the interview process. To be valid, the document must be signed by a witness who was present at your signing of the non-disclosure agreement form and who can attest that you have read and agreed to the terms of the form. We accept signatures from family members. Scan and upload a copy of the signed form to the听Dentistry Non disclosure Agreement Form听[DNDA] on your application checklist, via your Slate听account.听CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED TO INTERVIEW WITHOUT A COMPLETED FORM.听听听

Sign the听Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) form
If you are invited for an interview, you will need to sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) form. Please find the English and French versions of the NDA forms below. You will see the NDA form as one of your checklist items on the application portal. The form has to be completed and uploaded to the application portal as it is required for attending interviews.

Accommodation Policy for the Interview
If you have a disability or a medical condition that may affect your ability to undertake the multiple mini-interviews, please refer to our听policy on accommodation听for more guidance on how to request special accommodation.听Please note that this includes colourblindness. Your request for accommodation needs to be sent to听jenna.laurie [at] mcgill.ca (Ms. Jenna Laurie)听from the Office of Student Accessibility & Achievement (SAA) within 3 days of receiving your invitation to initiate the process. Documentation from a healthcare professional or university disability accommodation service will be required.
What to wear for the Interview
This is an interview for admission to a professional program, so making a good first impression is important. Accordingly, we invite you to dress comfortably, but neatly.
Suggested dress code听for participants: a reasonable-length skirt (no mini-skirts) or full-length trousers (no jeans)听combined with a top (e.g.: a dress shirt, polo shirt, or sweater set)听are considered acceptable. An informal dress with appropriate skirt length is also acceptable, or a collared shirt (such as a dress shirt or polo shirt) with dress/suit pants or trousers.听听Blazers or business jackets听are optional.听听For all,听ties are not necessary; no cargo pants, jeans, or sportswear.听 No hats or baseball caps.
In short, something professional yet comfortable; where you can make a positive impression.
What you will need for the Interview
A cell phone can be on hand, only for use as a back-up device in case you have a technical problem.听No other electronic devices are permitted.
Plain earphones/headphones or headsets are permitted for the virtual MMI.
A pen or pencil and several sheets of scrap paper.听No other tools (e.g., calculator), notes or materials are permitted (virtual or other).

Urgent communications on interview day

Final decisions
Decisions rendered by the Admissions Committee are final and not subject to appeal. Reconsideration is only granted in exceptional cases (e.g. clerical error)
Final decisions are released by electronic mail and confirmed via your Slate account.
The first offers of admission should be made by early November.
Accepting an offer
Successful applicants must respond to the offer of admission within three business days. Acceptance of an offer must be accompanied by a deposit of $500 CAD which will be applied against tuition fees.听
A candidate may be placed on the waitlist if the application is considered admissible but there are no available seats at that particular moment in the process. These candidates will be informed of their position on the list through their Slate account. Candidates who accept to be placed on the waitlist must be reachable at all times and keep their contact information up-to-date via Slate.

Deferring admission
An applicant to the DMD Advanced Standing for Foreign Trained Dentists Pathway cannot defer his/her admission.
