Tracking the status of your application
The status of your application can be tracked via your 听
It is strongly recommended that you check your application status on a regular basis, e.g. once a week, as there may be updates or additional requests required as part of the dossier review.
An indication of 'Ready for review' means that your file is complete and under review by the Admissions Committee. Your status will indicate 'Ready for Review' until a final decision is rendered.
Interview Information - asynchronous multiple-mini interviews
Applicants invited for an interview will be interviewed using the multiple mini-interview (MMI) format.听The interviews will be held virtually. It is your responsibility to be available for the assigned interview timeframe. No repeat interview sessions or special accommodations will be arranged. A candidate who does not attend may have their application cancelled.
This year the MMIs will be asynchronous. Applicants will be able to start and complete the interview on their own time anytime between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm on DATE TBD by recording their answers via the applicant portal. The interview will last less than an hour and must be completed in one go. Interviews must be completed before 5:00 pm.
If you have been invited to an interview, please check your email inbox on DATE TBD (please check your junk/spam folder in case the email went to this folder). You should receive a registration link for the interview. After you register, you will be able to take the asynchronous online MMI on DATE TBD.听
To CONFIRM your attendance,听you must complete the following two steps on Slate:

NON-DISCLOSURE FORM:听Print and read carefully the Dentistry Non-disclosure Agreement Form (below) which sets out your obligation to maintain the confidentiality of the interview process. To be valid, the document must be signed by a witness who was present at your signing of the non-disclosure agreement form and who can attest that you have read and agreed to the terms of the form. We accept signatures from family members. Scan and upload a copy of the signed form to the听Dentistry Non disclosure Agreement Form听[DNDA] on your application checklist, via your Slate听account.听CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED TO INTERVIEW WITHOUT A COMPLETED FORM.听听听
Sign the听Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) form
If you are invited for an interview, you will need to sign the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) form. Links to the English and French versions of the NDA forms are below. You will see the NDA form as one of your checklist items on the application portal. The form has to be completed and uploaded to the application portal as it is required for attending interviews.
Interview accommodation policy听
If you have a disability or a medical condition that may affect your ability to undertake the multiple mini-interviews, please refer to our听policy on accommodation听for more guidance on how to request special accommodation.听Please note that this includes colour blindness. Your request for accommodation needs to be sent to听jenna.laurie [at] mcgill.ca (Ms. Jenna Laurie)听from the Office of Student Accessibility and Achievement (SAA) within 3 days of receiving your invitation to initiate the process. Documentation from a healthcare professional or university disability accommodation service will be required.
What to wear for the interview
This is an interview for admission to a professional program, so making a good first impression is important. We invite you to dress comfortably in professional attire.
Suggested dress code听for participants: a reasonable-length skirt听or full-length trousers combined with a top (dress shirt, polo shirt, or sweater set)听are considered acceptable. An informal dress with appropriate skirt length is also acceptable, or a collared shirt such as a dress shirt or polo shirt with dress/suit pants or trousers.听听Blazers or business jackets听are optional. Ties are not necessary.
Do not wear mini-skirts,听jeans, cargo pants or sportswear. No hats are permitted including baseball caps.
What you will need for the interview
- A cell phone can be on hand only as a back-up device in case you have a technical problem.听No other electronic devices are permitted.
- Plain earphones/headphones or headsets are permitted for the virtual MMI.
- A pen or pencil and several sheets of scrap paper.听No other tools (e.g., calculator), notes or materials are permitted (virtual or other).

Final decisions
Decisions rendered by the Admissions Committee are final and not subject to appeal.

Candidates applying for the DENT-P preparatory program will be notified between the end of April and mid-May whether they have been accepted, placed on the wait list, or not accepted. Acceptance is conditional upon receipt of a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC).
Accepting an offer
For the first series of offers, successful applicants must respond to the offer of admission within two weeks. Candidates on the wait list who receive an offer of admission may be given a shorter period of time to respond.
If have already accepted an offer at 平特五不中 in another program, you may encounter difficulties when attempting to accept the offer via the听 Please contact the undergrad.dentistry [at] mcgill.ca (Admissions Office) if you are experiencing this problem.
Notification of acceptance of the offer must be accompanied by a deposit of $500 which will be applied against tuition. This fee is non-refundable.
Deferring admission
An applicant to the DENT-P program cannot defer their admission.
Wait list post-interview
The Admissions Office only retains only a certain number of applicants on the wait list. Offers of admission are made when places become available.
To learn about your position on the wait list, log into your 听Offers of admission can be made at any time and can occur very late in the summer. However, as offers are contingent upon the decisions of other applicants, it is impossible to predict if and when places will become available. Please ensure that your email address and phone number are current. If you want your name removed from the wait list, you must decline through your 听

DENT-P Year: As of July 31st, 2024, an offer was made to the 37th candidate on the list (within the top 50% and top 75% of waitlisted applicants).
