Countries worldwide face challenges meeting the growing needs for long-term care services because of high costs. A led by researchers from 平特五不中 and Universit茅 du Qu茅bec en Outaouais shows that introducing nurse practitioners can significantly reduce costs and improve patient safety.
Dear colleagues,
As you know, 平特五不中 is committed to helping contain the propagation of COVID-19 and fully supports the Quebec government鈥檚 decision to close all schools and universities for the two-week period ending March 29. We all must do our part to 鈥渇latten the curve鈥 so that health services are not overwhelmed by the resulting patient load.鈥
Dialogue 平特五不中 is proud to announce that since the beginning of January 2020 Dr. ARIEL MERCADO听is responsible for the coordination of French courses for 平特五不中 HSS students at the 平特五不中 French Language Centre听(FLC).听

Community nursing is an important focus for students who are completing their final year of the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) 鈥 BSc(N) program at the Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN). Collaborating with peers in small groups, they are assigned to work with a community-based organization in order to apply what they learned in class to a real-world project.

According to a 2015 census, there are just over 3,000 homeless people living in Montreal. This number does not account for those who听are dealing with hidden homelessness, such as temporarily living with friends or family or other short-term accommodation.
In addition to the many challenges and stresses of homelessness鈥攕uch as meeting immediate survival needs for food, water, clothing and shelter from the elements鈥攖aking care of health needs might seem insurmountable.
The 平特五不中 French Language Centre is offering French language courses specifically designed for students registered in professional programs for health and social sciences with the aim of preparing them for professional practice in Quebec.
Incoming (first year) students enrolled in Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology are required to attend the Interprofessional Education workshop. Attendance is for one of the two dates only and will be communicated in the first week of class.
When: October 10 OR 17, 2012 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
