With a new cringe-worthy Borat film having been released this fall, 平特五不中 DISE's Dr. Low was recently interviewed by the Huffington Post (UK edition) as a follow-up to her earlier written critique.

They may not know it yet, but 平特五不中鈥檚 student teachers are getting a big boost from a kindred spirit.

The late Mary Marsh, DipEd鈥42, a Grade 1听teacher at Rosedale School in Montreal for most of her career, has left more than $4.8 million in her will to support students in the Faculty of Education through a suite of听awards听鈥 an investment that couldn鈥檛 have come at a better time for a profession deeply marked by the pandemic.

A new partnership between 平特五不中鈥檚 Faculty of Education and Trafalgar School for Girls 鈥 known as the CoLab 鈥 aims to advance collaborative research that will address the evolving needs of both educators and students. Unlike traditional laboratory schools at Oxford, Columbia, UCLA and the University of Chicago, which operate as an adjunct to a university, this new venture will be a true partnership, the first of its kind in Canada.

For fourth-year B.Ed. students approaching the end of their programs, knowing what path to take after graduation can be challenging. Whereas many B.Ed. grads are eager to pursue careers in teaching, training, pedagogy, youth programming, or other听employment sectors, others may not feel ready to join the job market just yet. Some students may want to broaden their knowledge and skillsets, become more specialized, or expand their career opportunities.

Dr. Angelica Galante, from the Department of Integrated Studies in Education, along with other Canadian scholars have been interviewed by the British Columbia-based newspaper The Source about the need for inclusive language education in Canada.

With over 200 languages in the country, classrooms that are not yet valuing the linguistic and cultural diversity of the students in their pedagogy are doing a disservice to education.
