MDCM & Ph.D.
The Faculty of Medicine offers a combined clinical and academic medicine program leading to the MDCM and Ph.D. degrees (Combined Doctor of Medicine and Master of Surgery with Doctor of Philosophy).听This is a 7-year program in which the basic and clinical sciences portion of the medical curriculum are completed from September of year one to December 31 of year two, prior to the beginning of full-time graduate studies.

The Med-P combines a preparatory year in the Faculty of Science followed by the Faculty of Medicine's four-year听MDCM program. The program consists of courses in molecular biology, cell biology and metabolism, with a choice of among 12 science tracks and includes courses in Humanities and Social Sciences.听
