Focus

Dr. Robyn Lee is an infectious disease epidemiologist, with expertise in the application of genomics to infectious disease epidemiology and public health. Her overall research program focuses on novel approaches for resolving transmission dynamics and identifying risk factors for disease, with the aim of informing clinical and public health interventions. She has worked extensively onÌýMycobacterium tuberculosisÌý– particularly among the Canadian Inuit – as well as other pathogens of public health importance; these include methicillin-resistantÌýStaphylococcus aureusÌýin the US military and population-level studies ofÌýNeisseria gonorrhoeaeÌýand vancomycin-resistant enterococci. Dr. Lee is particularly interested in reducing health disparities due to infectious disease in disadvantaged populations. In addition to her research, Dr. Lee has a clinical background in Intensive Care nursing and has had field experience with TB outbreak response in Nunavik, Québec.
