Successful 11th Annual TB Research Day Hosted by 平特五不中 International TB Centre

The 平特五不中 International TB Centre proudly hosted the 11th Annual TB Research Day, a hybrid event commemorating World TB Day, on March 22nd, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm. The event was a resounding success, attracting nearly 200 registered attendees. Approximately 70 individuals participated in person, while others joined virtually via Zoom.
The 2024 TB Research Day featured awards and prizes for students and trainees, underscoring the commitment to fostering the next generation of TB researchers. Attendees were treated to informative and engaging presentations by distinguished speakers who are experts and leaders in the field of Tuberculosis research.
Keynote speakers included:
- Dr. Joanne Langley from Dalhousie University, speaking on "Lessons learned from clinical trials of vaccines."
- Dr. Nick Menzies from Harvard University, discussing "Using mathematical and economic modeling to understand the global benefits of a novel TB vaccine."
- Dr. Maziar Divangahi from 平特五不中, presenting on "How to harness the power of innate immunity in TB vaccine development."
The event, themed "Vaccination for TB 鈥� where are we?" provided valuable insights and perspectives from renowned researchers. For those unable to attend in person, the event was seamlessly transmitted via Zoom, ensuring broader accessibility. A recording of the Zoom session is available .

Poster Pitches Best Biomedical and Clinical & Health Outcomes winners were:
