Academic Credit Transfer and Inter-University Transfer Agreements for Physical & Occupational Therapy Students

The Inter-University Transfer (IUT) agreement permits concurrent registration at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ and another Quebec institution. In certain cases, credits may be granted by the School for courses taken at other universities. The Program Director's approval is required and must be obtained in advance.

Courses accepted for transfer credits must meet the following criteria:

  1. Courses must be comparable in their content and in their method of evaluation to courses that students are allowed to take for credit at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ;
  2. Course content must not overlap with courses already completed at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ, CEGEP, another university, or elsewhere.

Students wishing to take advantage of this agreement should consult the Student Affairs Office for details. Further instructions and conditions are listed at University Regulations & Resources > Undergraduate > Registration > Quebec Inter-University Transfer Agreement. If you are an IUT student visiting ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ from another university, please refer to Quebec Inter-University Transfer Agreement: Visiting IUT Students.

Students interested in Exchanges should consult the School's Rules and Regulations for Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy.

Note: If you are granted approval to take a course(s) at another univesity, the letter grades applied by the host institution take precedence over the numerical grades (if both are provided). In order to be granted transfer credits, the final grades earned at the host university must meet the minimum requirements as set by the Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy programs. However, grades earned at the host university for transfer courses are not entered on the student's ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ transcript and are not included in the calculation of the TGPA or CGPA. For courses that are completed, the grade will be automatically submitted to the home university (ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ) by the host institution. Students who wish to drop or withdraw from the course(s) for which approval has been granted will need to drop or withdraw from the course as per the method of registration at the host university AND submit this change on the online IUT application. For universities outside of Quebec, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that an official transcript is sent from the host institution to the Student Affairs Office. Students studying at another Quebec university on an Inter-University Transfer Agreement (IUT) will have their grade(s) sent to ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ automatically by the host university. Transcripts not received by the appropriate date will be considered for the next graduation period only.
