Undergraduate/Professional Dentistry Requirements

Basic Cardiac Life Support

Basic Cardiac Life Support

You must provide (by July 31 of the year in which you are commencing undergraduate dental education) proof of certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), level C or C+, and automated external defibrillation (AED) training. Certification must be valid until at least March 2019.

Certification must be granted, or fully recognised, by any of the following organisations:

  • The Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • The Quebec Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • The Canadian Red Cross
  • St. John Ambulance Canada
  • The American Heart Association
  • The American Red Cross

Compulsory Immunization Program

Compulsory Immunization Program

You are required to complete the immunization form for review by the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Student Health Service as soon as possible and by July 31 of the year in which you are commencing the undergraduate dental education program at the latest. The form should be uploaded to your Minerva account. For the purposes of verification of compliance with the immunization requirements, you grant permission to the Office of Admissions to securely share your student health information with the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Student Health Service.

Download the form from the Student Health Services website; ensure you select the Dentistry form. Upload your completed form, signed, verified, and with all supporting documentation to the item on your checklist in Minerva. Once it is reviewed and approved, Student Health Services will issue your card as proof of vaccination. You may be required to meet with a Student Health Service representative if follow-up or additional information is required.
