Overview

Earth System Science : Research project supervised by one or more staff members, with the results to be presented in the form of an undergraduate thesis.

Terms: Fall 2017

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2017-2018 academic year.

  • Restrictions:Registration in the Earth System Science Honours program.

  • Permission of instructor is required to take this course. A written proposal outlining the studies to be undertaken must be submitted to the undergraduate ESS Student Adviser by September 30 of the U3 year. The proposal will be reviewed by the Adviser. If approved the investigation will be supervised by one or more staff members, and the results will be presented in the form of an undergraduate thesis. The final written report will be worth at least 50% of the final grade. The grading scheme will be agreed upon between the supervisor(s) and student before approval of the ESS Student Adviser.

  • Students must register for both ESYS 480D1 and ESYS 480D2

  • No credits will be given for this course unless both ESYS 480D1 and ESYS 480D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
