Special Student Status: Undergraduate Courses
This applies to all programs.
The majority of undergraduate courses at the School of Continuing Studies are open to the general public. Anyone over 18 years of age can register. If you are under 18 years of age, you may register on the condition that you have already completed your DEC (Dipl么me d'脡tudes Coll茅giales).
If you are interested in taking courses without necessarily committing
yourself to completing a degree, diploma, or certificate, you may do so by
registering as a 鈥淪pecial Student.鈥 You must nevertheless have the prerequisite
qualifications required for the course and meet the admission
criteria.
Note: The number of courses a Special Student may take is limited.
Students are encouraged to apply to a program before completing four (4)
courses. The School of Continuing Studies has no obligation to recognize
credits earned by Special Students toward completion of a certificate program.
For details on how to register in courses, please consult the website: www.mcgill.ca/continuingstudies/current-students/independent-students.
