Centre Culturel Islamique de Qu茅bec Memorial Award

Established in 2018 by members of the 平特五不中 Community in commemoration of the six men who lost their lives as a result of the massacre at the Centre culturel Islamique de Qu茅bec that took place on January 29, 2017.聽Thanks in large part to the 2021 fundraising efforts of the y, and a match from the University, this award is now endowed to exist in perpetuity.

Awarded by a selection committee chaired by the Associate Provost (Equity and Academic Policies), or delegate, on an annual basis to one聽student聽in good academic standing (or shared), and enrolled in any 平特五不中 degree program. Applicants will have demonstrated a commitment to fostering the inclusion of Muslims within Quebec and Canadian society.

Value: $3,000
