Purpose To recognize academic standing.
Eligibility Presented to the graduating student in the professional program in Physical Therapy M.Sc.A (P.T.) who has demonstrated excellence in the area of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy.

Carol Rutenberg-Silver Memorial Award

Clinical Prize of Excellence: l'Ordre professionnel de la physioth茅rapie du Qu茅bec

贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听 Awarded by l鈥橭rdre professionnel de la physioth茅rapie du Qu茅bec to the student demonstrating exceptional overall performance in attaining the objectives of the clinical placements throughout the professional program in Physical Therapy M.Sc.A. (P.T.).

Dr. Alice Chan-Yip Multiculturalism Award

Purpose To recognize research in international development or multiculturalism.
Eligibility EligibilityEstablished in 2011 in recognition of the importance of cultural competency in professional practice in rehabilitation, both in the domestic and the international arenas. Awarded by the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy to a student enrolled in any year of the School's professional Occupational or Physical Therapy programs or to students registered in the Master鈥檚 or PhD programs in Rehabilitation Science. The award amount is between $500 to $1000.

Edith Aston-McCrimmon Professionalism Award

贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听 To recognize students in the professional Occupational or Physical Therapy Programs who espouse the ideals of professionalism and demonstrate outstanding commitment to their chosen profession. To be awarded by the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy to support expenses related to representing 平特五不中 and their profession at major provincial, national or international professional congresses. Value of the refund is up to $2000. with receipts

Helen M. Gault Award

笔耻谤辫辞蝉别听 To recognize outstanding qualities of leadership, scholarship, and professionalism.
Eligibility Presented to a graduating student in the professional program in Occupational Therapy M.Sc.A. (O.T.) and a graduating student in the professional program in Physical Therapy M.Sc.A. (P.T.) who have demonstrated the most outstanding qualities of leadership, scholarship and professionalism throughout their undergraduate program.

The Max Folkersma Prize for Perseverance

Purpose To recognize outstanding qualities of perseverance and grit.
Eligibility Established in 2022 in memory of Max Folkersma, BSc(PT), this award symbolizes Max鈥檚 spirit, knowledge and life, and is given to one or more graduating students from the MSc(A)PT program who have demonstrated resilience and perseverance over the course of their time at 平特五不中, despite obstacles in their academic, professional or personal lives. This prize is awarded upon the recommendation of classmates from the MSc(A)PT program and Faculty members of the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Value: approximately $1000.

Kay Rothman Amor Wolofsky Travel Award

贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听聽 Established in 2017 by Kay Rothman Amor Wolofsky, DIP P&OT 1953. To provide travel support for a maximum of two graduate students graduating from the MSc (Applied)聽Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program and who are attending the Canada Association of Occupational Therapists conference, the Canadian Physiotherapy Association鈥檚 national congress, or other relevant conference, as determined by the Director of the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. Value of the refund is up to $1500. with receipts

Korner-Bitensky Prize for Generosity of Spirit

笔耻谤辫辞蝉别听 To recognize the generosity of spirit.
贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听聽 This award is given to the student in the OT and PT graduating classes that exemplifies a generosity of spirit by contributing to the well-being and needs of other students. This student has been nominated by their peers as someone who has demonstrated "generosity -- by giving more than one can easily give" over the years of their professional training.

Patricia Ann MacDonald Wells Van Daele Memorial Award聽

Purpose To recognize outstanding research on the again population and/or clinical education.
Eligibility Established in 2003 by family, friends and colleagues of Patricia Ann MacDonald Wells Van Daele as well as graduates of the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy. This award is given to a student in recognition of outstanding research on the aging population and/or clinical education.Value between $500 to $1000 depending on available funds.

Sandra Perlman Memorial Prize

贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听 Established in memory of Sandra Perlman by her niece, Dr. Robyn Pugash. Sandra Perlman was a graduate of the School in 1958 and BSc (PT) class of 1976/ The award is offered annually to the graduating student in the professional program in Physical Ther颅apy MSc A (PT) who, in the opinion of faculty, best exemplifies attributes desirable of a caring professional, these being compassion, empathy, concern for the needs of the patient and devotion to the profession.

SPOT Alumni Travel Award

笔耻谤辫辞蝉别听 To provide financial support in presenting research findings at conferences.聽
贰濒颈驳颈产颈濒颈迟测听 Students who completed their professional Physical or Occupational Therapy Degree in the fall previous to the award application (e.g. completed in Fall 2020 for a February 28, 2021 application).
Students who are authors of poster or podium presentations at the targeted conference. Value of the refund is up to $1500聽with receipts
