About
The ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Advanced Therapies Research and Education Centre (MATREC) serves as a core platform dedicated to bridging the gap between preclinical research and the clinical implementation of advanced therapies. By offering specialized training and facilitating research translation to clinical application, MATREC plays a pivotal role in equipping students, professionals, and researchers with the knowledge and expertise necessary to adhere to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP). This ensures the production of advanced therapies, including human cells, tissues, and their derivatives, meets the rigorous standards required for clinical applications.
MATREC's facilities, located at the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Centre for Genomics in downtown Montreal, provide an ideal setting for student and staff training. The 204 m² infrastructure includes an ISO7-certified cleanroom, three ISO8 access rooms, and a declassified area for quality control and assurance, following guidelines for handling cells, tissues, and organs intended for transplantation.
