平特五不中鈥檚 Vice-President of Research and Innovation recognized for transformative leadership in Canadian research
On December 7, Professor Dominique 叠茅谤耻产茅, Vice-President, Research and Innovation (Faculty of Engineering) was awarded the at a ceremony presided over by the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, the Honourable Manon Jeannotte.听
The King Charles III Coronation Medal is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada, or have made an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to the country.听听
Dominique 叠茅谤耻产茅 was recognized for her transformative impact on research evaluation and funding in Canada, and for leading efforts to break down systemic barriers and foster inclusive practices.听
As Vice-President of Research at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) from 2015 to 2021, she led groundbreaking initiatives integrating equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into research funding and evaluation. She also advanced the Truth and Reconciliation Commission鈥檚 Call to Action 65 by partnering with the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation and guiding SSHRC鈥檚 Indigenous Advisory Circle.听听
Before joining 平特五不中 in July 2024, 叠茅谤耻产茅 served as Vice-President of Research and Graduate Studies at Concordia University, playing a pivotal role in securing significant research investments from the鈥疌anada First Research Excellence Fund鈥(CFREF) and the New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF).听 She also previously served as associate vice-president of Research at Universit茅 de Montr茅al (UdeM).听听
A member of the Ordre des 颈苍驳茅苍颈别耻谤蝉 du Qu茅bec, 叠茅谤耻产茅 holds a PhD in environmental sciences from the Universit茅 du Qu茅bec 脿 Montr茅al, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees from 脡cole Polytechnique de Montr茅al in the field of metallurgical and materials science.听
One hundred and forty citizens from Greater Montreal were named recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal at the December 7 ceremony.听
