The Radiology Research Committee meets approximately four times a year (dates will be provided to you at the beginning of July). Please note there may be cancellations or delays with the committee meetings.ÌýResidents will be notified at the earliest time possible.

1. You should plan to meet with the Research Committee to present your project for approval as early as possible in your PGY3 year.ÌýPlease sign up as soon as possible for the date you want to present your project to the committee before all the dates are taken.Ìý
2. You should apply for :

   a)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýNagano account.

   b)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýMUHC Research Institute Account

   c)ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýComplete ICH-GCP via CITI training on RI website and MUHC SOP training via eLearner on RI website

3. You should submit your project to the research committee at least 2 weeks before your presentation with a clean copy of your proposal (no tracked changes or comments)
4. Be on time for your presentation.
5. Presentation should be done using a PowerPoint presentation lasting approximately 5’ providing an overview of each parts of your proposal
6. Presentations will be followed by a short question period or comments by the Committee Members
7. Within 2 weeks post presentation you will receive an email with official comments from the Committee stating whether the project is deemed acceptable and suggestions on what could be improved in point form.
8. Within 2 weeks of receiving the committee’s email, if your project was accepted with recommendations, you should answer the email addressing each point raised by the committee saying whether you agree with the point raised (and how you will change in accordance) or not (with explanation why not)

Typically, students have their initial meeting with the Research CommitteeÌýin their R3 year.
