Dear members of the 平特五不中 community,
Yesterday 鈥� March 21st 鈥� marked the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Proclaimed by the United Nations in 1966 and observed worldwide, this day marks an opportunity to reflect on and reaffirm our commitment to challenging racism in all its forms.
At 平特五不中, we have made significant strides in our commitments to equity and anti-racism. We have done so in numerous ways, consistently in alignment with our Mission and Principles and EDI Strategic Plan.
We are making progress, but this work is ongoing and more remains to be done. Unfortunately, reminders of the need for this work, and its importance, are stark and too frequent. Just last week, we witnessed a deadly attack in North America against the Asian community. These acts of violence can cause members of the 平特五不中 community 鈥� especially those who are racialized 鈥� to feel targeted, threatened, and unwelcome.
In condemning such acts in unequivocal terms, I reassert 平特五不中鈥檚 commitment to eliminating racial discrimination and addressing inequity wherever it manifests so that each of you feels welcomed at 平特五不中. You belong here.
