Dear members of the ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ community,
I am pleased to announce term extensions for two members of the Office of the Provost leadership team.
Professor Angela Campbell will continue to serve as Interim Deputy Provost (Student Life and Learning) until May 31, 2026. She was originally appointed for one year on June 1, 2024.
Professor Campbell is keenly aware of our students’ needs and opportunities, notably through her previous tenure as Associate Provost (Equity and Academic Policies). She has worked on ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ’s EDI Strategic Plan, the Anti-Black Racism Action Plan and the Provost’s Task Force on Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Education. More recently, she co-led the 2022 Initiative against Islamophobia and Antisemitism. She has been pursuing this work as Interim Deputy Provost and played a key role in guiding our community through some of the most challenging periods of the past year.
Graduate and Postdoctoral Education
I am also pleased to announce the one-year extension of Professor Josephine Nalbantoglu as Associate Provost (Graduate Education) and Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
Professor Nalbantoglu began her second five-year term on July 1, 2020. Her exemplary management of the unit and her considerable understanding of the regulatory landscape point to the experience and knowledge she brings to ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ as we continue to navigate uncertainties as significant as changes to funding models, new French language requirements and changes to student immigration policies. Graduate and postdoctoral students are essential to ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ’s continued excellence, so stability within the portfolio is of immense value to the University, notably for research and innovation.
Please join me in thanking professors Campbell and Nalbantoglu for their continued service to our community through their invaluable leadership and tireless commitment.
Sincerely,
Ìý
Christopher Manfredi
Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic)
