Reporting assistance

We can help you understand the reporting processes at your disposal and answer your questions. Our goal is to give you the information you need so that you can evaluate your options and choose what is right for you.

  1. We offer reporting assistance whether you are considering or have chosen to file a formal complaint at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ and/or with the police.

  2. We coordinate emergency safety and/or interim measures when a ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ community member’s safety is at risk.

  3. We coordinate accommodations and access to various university services.

You can contact this office for support if you are unsure about which rules, policies or procedures apply to your situation, or if you need someone to help clarify a situation or circumstance affecting you, or if you feel that a particular university policy or regulation has been applied unfairly or erroneously.

ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Security is responsible for investigating all serious crimes on campus and liaises with police forces conducting investigations that involve ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ. ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ Security service can also facilitate a disclosure and connect you with the appropriate resources on and off campus to file a report.

The SEIA serves as the intake person for inquiries regarding or complaints of harassment, sexual harassment or discrimination made by students and members of the academic or administrative and support staff. The office also offers mediation and can help resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise among students, faculty and staff, when the parties agree to or request a mediated solution.

CAVAC’s offer confidential and free services focused on providing people who are victims of crime with tools to regain a sense of control over their lives.  They offer post-trauma support, information on rights and remedies, technical assistance in proceedings and referral to specialized services. GAIHST offers information and support regarding sexual harassment in the workplace.  They can assist people through a mediation or conciliation, an investigation, revision or appeal, and a hearing before an administrative court.  Services are available Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm (by appointment only) in French and English.

The YWCA offers confidential, individual, 30 min information sessions to women and their families at low-cost as well as legal information presentations.
