Can I file a report as a third party and/or anonymously?

Yes. Third-party* and/or anonymous reports may be investigated where sufficient evidence exists听and where such an investigation would not violate procedural fairness.听Third-party and/or anonymous reports cannot go to mediation.听An individual identified as the person who directly experienced听sexual violence in听a third-party or anonymous report has the right to be informed of an investigation triggered by such a report and can choose听whether or not听to participate in the process.听

In an investigation process, please note that third-party and/or anonymous reporters will not receive the investigation report at the end of the investigation or information about the resolution of the complaint.

*A third-party report is a report made by someone other than the person alleged to have experienced sexual violence.

I鈥檓 not sure whether I want to file a report through 平特五不中鈥檚 Policy against Sexual Violence. What else can I do?

  • Seek support
Take care of yourself and know that you don鈥檛 have to deal with sexual violence alone. Whether or not you decide to make a formal report through 平特五不中鈥檚 Policy against Sexual Violence, seek support from your friends, family, and 平特五不中 support services.
  • Try to write down what happened
In as much detail as possible, write down what happened, where and when it happened, and who was present. You can provide this documentation if you decide to file a formal report through 平特五不中鈥檚 Policy against Sexual Violence later on.
