Prof. Stephen McAdams awarded Lifetime Achievement Award from Society for Music Perception and Cognition
Congratulations to Prof. Stephen McAdams, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (SMPC) on August 4, 2022. The Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates outstanding contributions from a researcher to the field of music perception and cognition, carrying with it a lifetime membership in the SMPC.聽聽

Trained as a bassoon player, Francoise Henri (MMus鈥98) has made it her mission to fill the lives of vulnerable people with music, and the pandemic isn鈥檛 slowing her down. Henri is the general and artistic director of the Soci茅t茅 pour les arts en milieux de sant茅, better known as La SAMS.

Congratulations to Hester Bell Jordan, current PhD Candidate in Musicology, named as a recipient of the American Musicological Society (AMS)聽Alvin H. Johnson AMS 50 Dissertation Fellowship. Awarded solely on the basis of academic merit, the Fellowship is a twelve-month stipend set at $24,000 for a current Doctoral Candidate pursuing a dissertation聽at a North American university.
