1- What was your area of study (atmospheric or oceanic sciences)? Could you describe in a line or two your research/ area of interest while you were studying at 平特五不中?
During my time at 平特五不中, I studied entrainment in shallow cumulus clouds by using large-eddy simulations. We investigated the environmental factors that governed the rate at which drier surrounding air is mixed into shallow cumuli.
2- Looking back, what do you value most about your studies at AOS at 平特五不中?
I appreciated the opportunities my supervisors have provided me during my studies to develop my skills by sending me to conferences and workshops. Their commitment to my success and their support honed my ability to write successful papers and reports in a concise and precise manner.
3- How are you applying your degree in Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences from 平特五不中?
Working as a consultant for AECOM, I rely daily on the knowledge acquired during my Ph.D. Defining and refining research questions or problems, developing and methodically executing strategies, and structuring and concisely reporting solutions are skills I transfer and apply to any project I work on in my current job as a climate change expert.
4- What advice would you give to someone considering graduate studies in atmospheric or oceanic sciences at 平特五不中?
Before committing to any graduate program, I encourage everyone to look beyond the immediate, whether it is the supervisor, program, or university, and consider the larger picture. A solid foundation in their purpose and goals will allow any student to find their way through coursework, exams, and any setbacks they might encounter.
