4 Priorities

1. Outstanding education for outstanding learners:

  • Attract outstanding students
  • Prepare our students to stand out as leaders, collaborators, and communicators, able to work effectively across disciplines and professions
  • Include our faculty and staff as lifelong learners equipped to improve care, teach, conduct research, and serve at a time of change and complexity
  • Include the broader community amongst our learners, so the new knowledge we generate benefits the communities we serve

2. Collaborative research and care for better health:

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, grounded in disciplinary strength, within the Faculty and beyond
  • Sustain an ambitious research culture to tackle problems that matter, do work that will make a difference
  • Bridge gaps in the knowledge-to-action cycle within our research and clinical ecosystem
  • Assure equitable access to the benefits that flow from research

3. Delivering with and for our communities:

  • Partner effectively with key communities to define unmet needs and provide experiences that improve the education we provide
  • Foster a culture of openness, belonging and mutual respect to make the most of the diversity of our students, staff and faculty
  • Ensure our work is known to our communities in Quebec and beyond through service, partnerships, public outreach and advocacy

4. An efficient organization that does great work:

  • Tools: enable data-informed decision-making
  • People: attract, develop and retain talented, diverse staff and academic leaders
  • Systems: improve quality, efficiency and agility through good governance, streamlined processes, technology and expertise
