The Lyman Entomological Museum and Research Laboratory on the Macdonald Campus houses the second largest collection of insects in Canada, comprising more than 2.8 million specimens which are used by students and researchers in biodiversity and entomology from around the world.

The 平特五不中 Herbarium has a collection of over 135,000 plant specimens, some of which are today extinct -- a collection dating back over 200 years. The Herbarium provides materials for research into plant systematics, cytogenetics, morphology and ecology.
