Kieran O鈥橠onnell, MD, PhD, is an Adjunct professor at 平特五不中, and an Assistant Professor at Yale. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor at 平特五不中 for over five years. His research focuses on maternal perinatal mental health and the developmental origins of mental health. His group integrates genomic and epigenomic data with measures of psychosocial risk to:

  1. Better understand individual differences in maternal perinatal mental health and;
  2. Identify the molecular processes that underlie the persisting influence of the prenatal environment on child/adolescent neurodevelopment.

Dr. Kiernan's research occurs in the context of a number of large prospective longitudinal cohorts, including the听Montreal Antenatal Well-Being Study, as well as randomized controlled trials of maternally-focused psychosocial interventions.
