CONP Logo

The Canadian Open Neuroscience Platform () is a national network comprising organizational, scientific, and technical infrastructure to support:

  • open, global sharing of multi-modal neuroscience data and advanced analytic tools;
  • scholar training in the cross-disciplinary use of Open Neuroscience practices;
  • creation of policy frameworks for ethically sound data governance and open dissemination;
  • the growth of Open Publishing and its facilitation of reproducibility by the wider scientific community;
  • building partnerships with international initiatives with similar Open Science principles and objectives.

The CONP鈥檚 internal committees work in concert to advance a core mission to implement and promote Open Neuroscience practices in Canada. This shift in neuroscience research culture and the spectrum of benefits it carries for many stakeholders is intended to accelerate discoveries in normal brain function and the pathophysiological mechanisms of disease, as well as expedite translation of basic research into the clinic.

Established in 2017, the CONP has been funded by and partner organizations, with particularly strong implication of the Ludmer Centre, both in financial terms and in the number of Ludmer principal investigators directly involved in the CONP鈥檚 development and activities.
