Forging scholarly bonds between 平特五不中's Faculty of Arts and Shantou's College of Liberal Arts.

Reciprocal visits

Every year, two academic staff members from each institution will embark on a 2-week reciprocal visit. These visits will span various disciplines, fostering innovative collaborations.

What to Expect

During these visits, activities will include:

  1. Teaching classes
  2. Delivering public lectures
  3. Participating in workshops and colloquia
  4. Engaging with researchers who share similar scholarly interests. Visiting academics will collaborate with their hosts to create a mutually agreeable schedule of activities.

Application process

平特五不中's ranked academic staff who wish to apply for one of these grants must submit a proposal (maximum 2 pages) which describes the activities they plan to focus on while at Shantou University (see Structure of Visit above). They should also indicate with whom at Shantou University they plan to collaborate and how this collaboration will respect and further the mission of the grants.

Reporting requirements:

Upon their return, grant recipients are expected to provide a detailed report of their visit, including all scholarly activities and collaborations. An expense breakdown with supporting receipts and documentation is also required. Photos documenting their visit are welcome.

Value: Up to $8000.00 CAD

Timeline: Grants must typically be utilized by the end of the academic year in which they are awarded.
