- ÌýGREAT awards are now also available for conference travel, and will continue to be available for virtual conferences. Students are expected to follow UniversityÌý and public health recommendations. $500 awards selected from random drawing of applicants twice per year.

Students will receive an email shortly after these dates to notify them if they won the draw.

ELIGIBILITY |
- Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ and be registered as full-time thesis student
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must have held an advisory/supervisory committee meeting within 10 months prior to start date of activity

NOTES |
- Graduating students are not eligible to apply because there will be no mechanism to pay you back if you are not registered at the time of the reception of the award. This means that the initial and final thesis should not take place at any point during the travel period for which you are applying. This would either be from: September 15, 2024 for past travel from March 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024 or March 15, 2025 for past travel from September 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025
- Student can only hold 1 GREAT Award per year
- Must have taken place at the exact time indicated on the application form. Hence, cannot be deferred to the following semester.

OVERVIEW |
The Graduate Mobility Award encourages graduate students to study and conduct research abroad as part of their ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ degree program by defraying part of the cost of the international experience. The award, funded by the Government of Quebec, is available to all full-time students enrolled in a graduate degree program at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ who have been approved by their academic unit and Faculty to take part in a mobility opportunity. The mobility award is meant to contribute towards the completion of the student’s thesis or research project. A limited number of awards are available each year on a competitive basis.

ELIGIBILITY
|
• Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program at ƽÌØÎå²»ÖÐ and be registered full-time
• Must have completed one full-term at the time of application
• Must be in good academic standing
• Must have held an advisory/supervisory committee meeting within 10 months prior to start date of activity
• Must be approved by their Academic Unit and Faculty
• Must have completed the Pre-departure Orientation Session within one year of departure date
• Must be participating in one or more of the following mobility activities: archival research, bilateral exchange/research partnership, fieldwork, research stay, workshop/training
• The activity must take place outside of the province of Quebec
• Student's activities abroad funded by this Mobility program cannot exceed 8 months per degree (the 8 months can be used in one single trip, or accumulated over several trips)
• Conferences are not eligible
• Applications for travel that has already happened will not be considered

VALUE |
- Up to 1,500 per month (prorated), up to 8 months.
- Students' activities abroad funded by this Mobility program cannot exceed 8 months per degree. The 8 months can be used in one activity, or by combining several travel activities.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but should be submitted to GPS no later than April 14th, 2025. |
