Children with Special Needs

The first step is to take the child's professional evaluation to the school principal听who will develop a听plan together with the school counsellor or psychologist. Whenever possible and appropriate, the support needed will be integrated in the regular classes.听听

While the language of schooling in Quebec is听French, children with a serious learning disability may request to be allowed to study in English听under a 听if deemed necessary by their medical provider. Requests shall be supported and documented by a psychoeducational evaluation. If the听child听meets the criteria, a 听will be issued.
