The applicant for an Alcohol Permit must abide by the university and provincial regulations as detailed below. Failure to follow these regulations will result in a denial of future application for a permit.
- The executives, social coordinators, department coordinators, bar managers, servers... of each group/association must attend the "Server Training Seminar" offered by Healthy 平特五不中.
- Non-alcoholic beverages must be available, visible and served in the same type of containers as alcoholic beverages. Non-breakable containers should be used whenever possible for safety reasons.
- Prices charged must not be lower than the retail cost of beverages sold. Non-alcoholic beverages must be priced reasonably.
- Organizers cannot advertise the fact that alcoholic beverages are served or sold at the event nor indicate any prices. Advertising may include: date(s), hours, location and entertainment.
- There should be sufficient security personnel present to maintain order, to prevent situations that might lead to bodily harm or physical damage, and to take care of individuals who have lost control.
- Any person deemed by a server to be intoxicated must not be served.
- The permit holder cannot sell or serve alcoholic beverages to a minor (under 18 years of age) or to someone of age who is believed to be buying for a minor.
- The University reserves the right to refuse or cancel any request for liquor permits.
Any violation of the law could result in the suspension of the University鈥檚 Permit and cause the cessation of serving or selling of alcohol on Campus.
Purchasing Alcohol
Alcohol can no longer be purchased on MMP. It must be purchased directly from the SAQ or a convenience store.
